The Shibuya Tokyu Food Show is located just down the stairs from Hachiko Square at Shibuya Station.
CARVAAN Delicatessen & Beer Stop is located in the deli zone of Shibuchika, the underground shopping mall directly connected to Shibuya Station, which reopened in July 2021.

Just a short walk from Shibuya Station! Enjoy craft beer facing Shibuchika Chuo-dori Street.

A showcase filled with deli items, sweets, and more.
Carvaan’s concept is “an extraordinary, cross-cultural space where food cultures from around the world come together.”
This section of the Shibuya Tokyu Food Show, Shibuchika, exudes an exotic atmosphere.
Located just a short walk from Shibuya Station, it offers halal, vegetarian, and vegan cuisine based on authentic Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine.
In addition to takeout, there is also an eat-in area, making it convenient for commutes and meetings.
It’s perfect for a variety of occasions, from after work to gift-giving, to lunch.
Mediterranean cuisine is gaining attention for its health benefits, with some studies showing it can reduce the risk of heart disease.
When you look at it from the front, you’ll see many deli items lined up in the display case, making it fun to choose.
Arabian roll sandwiches and shawarma, where you can eat superfoods such as vegetables and grains
This time, I ordered the falafel vegan shawarma.

There are five types of shawarma.

They use beautifully designed paper.
It’s wrapped in such beautifully designed paper that it’s really exciting.
It’s actually calligraphy, and it reads, “Culture at the End of the East.”

Calligraphy reading “Culture at the End of the East.”
This calligraphy is also written inside the restaurant, creating a unified dining space with the interior and table coordination.

Shawarma roll sandwich filled with kale, falafel, and whole grains.
This shawarma is wrapped in a flatbread made from 100% ancient wheat. It’s filled with chickpea-based falafel and kale, making it very satisfying. You can also enjoy the crunchy texture of the whole grains.
In addition to falafel, you can choose from five other types, including kebab and roasted cauliflower. It can be eaten with one hand, so it’s recommended for when you’re short on time or for takeout. If you take it home, brown it in the toaster oven for a more delicious taste.
Smoothies and sweets made without refined sugar
In addition to food, the restaurant also offers a wide selection of drinks and desserts.

A vegan smoothie made with plenty of superfoods and vegetables, exclusive to this restaurant.
There are six types of smoothies, made with organic dried fruit, superfoods, and nuts.
This time, I ordered the date, fig, and nut smoothie.

A date, fig, and nut smoothie with a mouthwatering ginger flavor.
With just one sip, the fragrant flavor of ginger and almonds fills your mouth.
The texture of the dates remains, making this a must-try smoothie for dried fruit lovers. It’s healthy, naturally sweet, and easy to drink, with a satisfying texture.
And the desserts are all exclusive to this restaurant.
This time, I ordered kunafeh, a traditional Arabian sweet.
It’s a cheesecake wrapped in kadaif dough.
Kadaif is a thin noodle made from wheat flour, also known as angel hair. Deep-frying it gives it a crispy texture.
It also uses no refined sugar, but instead palm blossom sugar and brown sugar, making it recommended for those who prefer natural foods. The palm blossom sugar on top of the kadaif has a mellow caramel-like flavor.
As the weather gets colder, the aroma of caramel and whiskey is a combination that can be enjoyed during the colder months.
Please give it a try.
