A new Indian restaurant opens in the Indian Town area

Restaurant Exterior
Kasai, known as India Town, is home to many renowned Indian restaurants. A little ways from the area, a new Indian restaurant has opened between Kasai Station and Funabori Station. The restaurant’s name is “Indiyumm.” Its appeal lies in its selection of Indian cuisine from three regions: North India, Central India, and West India. It also offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. Since many Indian vegetarians are “lactovegetarians,” meaning they consume dairy products, vegetarian dishes generally aren’t vegan-friendly, but often contain dairy. However, Indiyumm offers many vegan dishes! Here, we’ll introduce the Indian vegan dishes available at Indiyumm.

Restaurant Interior

Staff
The restaurant is small, clean, and has a relaxing, homey atmosphere. The friendly staff are on hand to assist you. Whether you’re visiting alone or with a group, the restaurant is just the right size for a private dining experience.
The carefully selected menu is amazing, ranging from classic curry to more eclectic Indian dishes.

Naan Curry Menu
From the classic Indian snack called chaat, which can be enjoyed as an appetizer or snack, to the popular naan curry from North India, to the more unusual snacks from West India, enjoyed as a snack or breakfast, our carefully curated menu offers everything from regional specialties to more discerning tastes.
Pick up vegan dishes
Western Indian cuisine is particularly vegetarian, with several dairy-free vegan dishes. Vegetarian food is enjoyed daily by both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike in India.
▶Misal

Misal
This is a West Indian dish. Misal is a common breakfast or snack in Western India, and Pao Bhaji is a bread and vegetable curry dish. The bread served with this dish is dairy-based and therefore not vegan, but you can request rice or other options in advance. The spicy soup has a nice, adjustable spiciness. The hearty curry, packed with dal (beans) and potatoes, is packed with nutrition. The crispy snacks add a nice touch.
▶Sambhar Wadi

Sambhar Wadi
This is a rare dish. It’s rarely found in Japan. The crispy spring roll-like skin is stuffed with a generous amount of spicy masala. This is a rare dish that’s so addictive you won’t be able to stop eating it, and leaves you completely satisfied by the time you finish.
▶Pani Puri

Pani Puri
This North Indian snack, known as chaat, is a perfect appetizer or snack. The crispy, round fried dough is filled with beans and vegetables and served with a cold soup. Pani Puri, a refreshing and light dish, is also very popular among Japanese people.

Vegetarian Wrap

Unusual Menu
The restaurant also offers other original vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Preserving regional Indian cuisine, many of which are vegetarian

Inside the Restaurant
Indiyumm offers a wide selection of vegetarian dishes, but the restaurant isn’t focused on vegetarian cuisine. Rather, it’s run with the desire to “introduce regional Indian cuisine.” The owner explains that by introducing dishes commonly eaten in India to Japan, vegetarian options will naturally increase. In Indian food culture, even non-vegetarians have the opportunity to eat vegetarian food on a daily basis. In fact, everyone involved in the restaurant, including the owner and staff, is familiar with and enjoys vegetarian food. Come experience Indian food culture and sample the vegetarian and vegan dishes at Indiyumm!
