After graduating from the management nutritionist training process at Kyoto Prefectural University, she engaged in product planning at food manufacturing company and food company.
She also contributed to the development of new “limited” products of pasta, sandwiches, and side dish bread to a certain convenience store.
In between job changes, she goes to school as a food coordinator, takes pictures of food coordinators and stylist teachers, and also experiences cooking class assistants.
After retiring from pregnancy, she studied health and body again. Now she is raising a 5-year-old twin boy (using natural remedies without relying on medicine as much as possible), while practicing child-rearing with high immunity by incorporating something close to the above.
She also presides over a cooking class for rice cooked at home (sometimes on a business trip) and mainly holds additive-free sprinkle furikake courses and fasting courses. She teaches how to eat and serve as well. In addition, she is currently helping people to prepare their body, as an osteopathic manipulative practitioner.
Vegan cafe near the station in Koga city
“Veggie Restaurant Funadeya” is located about 25 minutes walk from Hakata Station.
Although it is a little far from Hakata Station, it is only a three-minute walk from the nearest station, Shishibu Station, making it relatively easy to visit from within Fukuoka City and without a car.
I understand that the number of overseas visitors has decreased now, partly due to the spread of Coronavirus.
However, in the past, many customers from overseas used to take the train to come here for lunch.
Funadeya, which is run by the owner alone, has a nostalgic and relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era.
The bookshelves are stocked with a variety of books for you to read and enjoy while your meal is being prepared.
The owner worked at an organic restaurant and became a vegan himself.
He originally ran a vegan cafe in Fukuoka City. In the beginning, they had a little fish menu, but they changed to a vegan cafe.
About 9 years ago, they moved to their current location and have been steadily gaining fans while serving delicious vegan food.
A colorful vegan lunch for the eyes to enjoy
Currently, the restaurant is only open for lunch time, so I visited to enjoy lunch.
They have a variety of lunch menus, so you will definitely want to complete the lineup.
-Vegan lunch plate (with sweet set)
-Today’s vegan bowl set
-Ethnic vegan curry
-Vegan burger plate
This time, I chose the Vegan Lunch Plate (with Desert Sweets Set) because I wanted to try the standard menu first.
The plate came with a variety of side dishes made with seasonal vegetables.
Even though it was a vegan plate, the vegetables were used in abundance, giving the plate a bright and colorful appearance that was very appetizing.
The ingredients used are pesticide-free, carefully selected seasonal local vegetables and natural seasonings.
As a vegan restaurant, they do not use animal products, white sugar, or genetically modified organisms, so you can eat with peace of mind that your body and mind will be happy.
The portions are very generous, so even though I am not a vegan, I did not feel deprived and was able to enjoy the food, which made me want to try the other dishes next time.
The sweets are also homemade and delicious, so I highly recommend that you try them when you visit the store.
They also have kid’s plates, so it is quite recommended for families to enjoy good and healthy food.
Good news for those who are looking for vegan osechi.
Funadeya actually produces vegan three-tiered Osechi.
This is a great chance to enjoy the taste of Funadeya even if you are too far away to visit the store.
They prepare a colorful and healthy Osechi (Japanese traditional New Year’s Day meal) that you can enjoy with your eyes by using plenty of natural farm vegetables, beans, seaweeds, root vegetables, and dried foods.
The New Year’s menu will also be arranged in a macrobiotic way, with plenty of fish, meat veggie dishes, and macrobiotic dishes.
New Year’s is the time of year when people tend to overeat, so it is a good idea to enjoy Osechi without tiring your body.
Of course, if you are a vegan and can not eat regular Osechi, you should definitely choose it to enjoy the New Year.
