Organic+RawMaterial+Vegan “ORGAN”

ORGAN is a vegan speciality takeaway/delivery shop near the Akiu village. It is a 30 minute drive from Sendai station by car. You can also catch public transportation Miyagi Kotsu bus, which is about a 50 minute ride to Nakayachi bus stop and a 1-2 minute walk to the shop.

ORGAN was originated from the concept “Organic + RawMaterial + Vegan.” At ORGAN, you can enjoy savoury food, sweets and drinks made with carefully selected ingredients that are vegan and organic.

　
ORGAN is a part of Life Thyme Plus.inc, that also runs a vegan restaurant (in Shiogama city), yoga studio (in Aoba-ku), online shop and catering business.

“Vegecentric” is a word combined vegetable with centric, which means lifestyle with plant-based diet and it has been a popular concept in the US. Not only the food is nutritious but also it is very important that the food looks beautiful and appealing to the eyes.

The shop owner Sato san says with a smile, “Centric also means ‘trick’, wishing you a magical experience with fresh air and the majestic nature in Akiu. The most popular item of all is the unique-looking vege burger made with black buns and colourful vegetables. Homemade buns are made with bamboo charcoal with abundant minerals, which creates the unique black colour, representing ORGAN’s theme colour (meaning firm belief that can not be died to any other colour).

Vege burger has tomatoes, sauerkraut, lettuce, homemade salsa sauce, soy mayonnaise and patty which is made with vegetables and brown rice. This burger is not overly spiced, so it can be enjoyed by people of different ages. It was so scrumptious!

ORGAN also offers a variety of sweets options such as cookies, muffins, matcha mousse, double raw chocolate tart, caramel nut nougat tart, and purple sweet potato Mont Blanc tart. Some gluten-free sweets are available.
