Grand opening on November 1st! Siddique’s new store, Palace Tokyo Tower store

The halal restaurant we’d like to introduce this time is Siddique Palace Tokyo Tower. We interviewed them before their grand opening on November 1st.
It’s located on the second floor of Tokyo Tower Foot Town.
This restaurant is a highly skilled establishment, having been runner-up for four consecutive years in the Kanda Curry Grand Prix, the world’s most competitive curry competition. You can enjoy authentic curry made by a chef from India and Pakistan using dozens of carefully selected spices.
There are 10 other stores in Tokyo, each serving different dishes. It might be fun to try a selection of dishes from all the stores in Tokyo!
The interior of this restaurant is spacious, filled with sunlight during the day, and lit up by unique lamps at night.

This is the authentic taste! This is how chicken karahi is made!

This time, we had the rare opportunity to enter the kitchen!
Asian President Ramzan Siddique personally demonstrated how to make chicken karahi.

This is the chicken we'll be eating. It's a whole chicken, weighing 1kg. It's impressive.

The portion of karahi placed on the table was impressive. It was made with 1kg of chicken, so it was no surprise to see the chunks of meat. It was nice to see so many chunks of meat. It seems that it’s important not to overcook or overmix the chicken so that it doesn’t fall apart. This allows you to enjoy the delicious flavor of the chicken in every mouth.

Fresh coriander, shredded ginger, and shishito peppers add a touch of color and texture. When you put it in your mouth, a mild, rich flavor spreads behind the tingling spiciness. The spiciness is quite hot, but it’s also addictive, and you’ll find yourself munching it down in no time. It’s also delicious when eaten with the gently sweet naan.

Naan

Naan

It is also delicious when eaten with roti.

roti

roti

Roti is a type of unleavened bread made with whole wheat flour. If you look closely, you’ll see that it’s flat, unlike naan. The aroma of whole wheat flour is nice, and compared to naan, it’s almost not sweet. The gentle sweetness of naan is of course delicious, but the refreshing roti brings out the spiciness of the chicken karahi directly, making it recommended for those who like spicy food.
By the way, from the perspective of a registered dietitian, if you are concerned about your weight, it would be better to choose roti rather than naan because it uses whole wheat flour. Although, if you eat this much, it seems like it would be pointless. Lol

Of course, there are plenty of other delicious dishes!

Other dishes we tried this time included:

Fried Papal and Masala Nuts

Papal, also known as papad, is a type of chip made from pea flour. We dip it in Siddique’s special cilantro and red chili sauce.

This cilantro sauce is spicier than I expected. That’s because it contains a generous amount of green chili. In addition to cilantro, it also contains green ingredients like bell peppers and spinach, giving it a vibrant green color. It’s spicy, but the spiciness is so addictive I find myself eating too much.

But even spicier is the red chili sauce. This is made from smoked red chilies and garlic. It’s also spicy! But it’s not too harsh, with a subtle depth and a savory flavor beneath the heat.

The masala nuts are made from fragrant roasted cashew nuts seasoned with a spicy kick. It’s also well-seasoned and delicious, making it hard to resist.

Tandoori Chicken

This chicken is marinated in Siddique’s secret spiced yogurt recipe, allowing the flavor to infuse, and then grilled in a tandoor oven until juicy. Tandoori chicken is a classic dish, but I was surprised when I tried this one. It’s so juicy! Perhaps the long marination in yogurt allows it to become so tender. Or perhaps there’s another secret spice involved?

When it comes to chicken, wings and other parts can be tender and easy to eat due to the fat, but this chicken is juicy no matter where you eat it, and it’s delicious with a strong flavor.
And let’s not forget the accompanying vegetables. These are cut and grilled immediately after the order is placed. They’re also delicious. The key is the marinated red onion in the back right. Its acidity tightens the overall flavor of the dish and leaves a refreshing taste. This is a dish you definitely want to order when you come here.

Radish and Cucumber Salad

The vegetables at this restaurant are fresh, which is a plus. The radish and cucumber are chunky and very satisfying. The cuts are large, but the dressing is well-coated, making for a delicious dish you won’t get tired of. It’s a great palate cleanser.

We ate a lot of food and were very full. All the cooks are natives, so halal people can use the restaurant with peace of mind, and the restaurant is large, so it’s also good for entertaining.
