After graduating from the management nutritionist training process at Kyoto Prefectural University, she engaged in product planning at food manufacturing company and food company.
She also contributed to the development of new “limited” products of pasta, sandwiches, and side dish bread to a certain convenience store.
In between job changes, she goes to school as a food coordinator, takes pictures of food coordinators and stylist teachers, and also experiences cooking class assistants.
After retiring from pregnancy, she studied health and body again. Now she is raising a 5-year-old twin boy (using natural remedies without relying on medicine as much as possible), while practicing child-rearing with high immunity by incorporating something close to the above.
She also presides over a cooking class for rice cooked at home (sometimes on a business trip) and mainly holds additive-free sprinkle furikake courses and fasting courses. She teaches how to eat and serve as well. In addition, she is currently helping people to prepare their body, as an osteopathic manipulative practitioner.
The charming vegan cafe in Itoshima
After running a cafe in Fukuoka City for about 12 years, the owners moved to Itoshima City, the nearest resort town to Fukuoka City, and opened Café Hiruneko in June 2020.
The exterior is so charming that it makes you feel like you are visiting a foreign country.
You can also enjoy the interior decollated with full of cute stuff.
Because the owners love cats, there are cushions and stuffed animals placed all over the cafe, and finding them is one way to enjoy this sweet place.
They don’t use any animal products such as fish, meat, eggs and dairy products and provide healthy food and sweets which are made from organic vegetables and grains.
In addition, they don’t use refined white sugar or artificial seasonings and everything is prepared carefully.
Some cafes that are very particular about food tend to attract only vegetarian, vegan, and those who follows microbiotic. Her at Hiruneko the owners want customers to enjoy meals whether or not they eat animal products. Although the food served in so-called natural restaurants can sometimes taste plain and not enjoyable, here they make sure the dishes are prepared with moderate amount of salt and oil to bring out the delicious flavors so anyone can enjoy.
Although it is not in a good location, there were lots of customers coming constantly while I was there on a weekday afternoon.
Want to enjoy a healthy version of junk food? Yes you can!
There is a wide variety of food such as rice dishes, hamburgers, pastas and pizza and all of them are mouthwatering.
They provide a rice gratin with (doria) with white source made from rice flour as a winter special. If you want a gluten-free meal, you can order it without breadcrumbs.
There are 3 varieties of hamburgers, soy meat cutlet burger, beans burger and Leonie-tempeh burger, a hamburger with tempeh produced by Leona.
I ordered beans burger, which uses minced veggie meat as a patty.
The buns are homemade and baked with natural yeast, using wheat produced in Hokkaido and containing 20% of whole wheat flour.
The texture of patty made from minced chick-pea is almost the same as that made from meat. I’m sure that non-vegan people will love it.
The hamburger is served with fresh vegetable salad and french fries in one plate. It looks and tastes fantastic.
They also offer daily pasta made from organic noodles with plenty of vegetables. Its flavor varies based on the chef’s mood of the day!
Millet cheese pizza with tomatoes is also worth trying. It is rich in nutrients with lots of vegetables.
Though Café Hiruneko offers only vegan meals, if you try eating it once, you will understand why this small vegan cafe has been loved for many years.
Enjoy relaxing time with homemade sweets and drinks!
Homemade sweets and drinks are also excellent.
They provide tofu cream cakes, seasonal fruit tarts, daily muffins and more. Whenever you visit, you can enjoy sweets of seasonal fruits.
For drinks, there are plenty of choices.
Just try Hiruneko coffee!
It is Hiruneko’s original blend of fair trade organic beans ordered from Coffee Chiba in Fukuoka Prefecture (same as Hiruneko).
I usually drink coffee with milk, but I didn’t need milk here because Hiruneko coffee was brewed perfectly and It was not bitter.
They also provide organic decaffeinated coffee in which 99.9% of caffeine was removed from raw beans without using chemicas.
Of course, organic grain coffee is available as well.
Besides coffees, you can enjoy teas, chai, cocoa, freshly squeezed apple juice, mixture of fruit juice and so on. As a winter special, they make hot chocolate using naturally cultivated cacaos.
Once you visit this awesome place, you will love it and want to come back!
